Plan member's contact information
To better serve the RSB community, we would like to ensure we have your correct email on file. Providing your email will help us to communicate important information if there is a disruption to the postal service. When we send the newsletter to your inbox directly, we will reduce the use of paper.
Please note we will continue to provide a printed copy of Viewpoints to your home address, however, we want to give members of the RSB community the choice to go paperless. Updating or providing us with your email address will help us serve you better.
If you are uncertain if your mailing address, phone number or email is current, please contact Kat Maihara.
Frequently asked RSB questions
Q: What happens when my dependent or I reach the lifetime maximum for Extended Health benefit plan? | A: If you or any of your dependents reach the Extended Health Lifetime maximum, the claim will be declined and/or you will receive a notification from Sun Life. Sun Life does not notify UBC when this happens, so it is important for you to advise us immediately. UBC will continue to withdraw monthly premiums unless advised and there will be no retroactive reimbursements. Contact Kat to discuss and process plan termination or premium adjustments. |
Q: Is vision care covered in the Extended Health benefit plan? | A: Vision care is not covered under the RSB Extended Health benefit plan. |
Power of Attorney and third-party authorizations
If you have a Power of Attorney (POA) in place to handle your financial affairs, please send a copy of the POA document to the RSB office. If you wish to provide authorization to a third party to have access to information about your benefits account, please contact the RSB office. You can update and terminate any of these authorizations at any time.
