Workplace Engagement is about connecting people with place (UBC) and passions (meaningful work and diverse opportunities to learn). UBC is a place where it’s not your typical day-to-day, and staff and faculty have opportunities to create their own extraordinary stories.
One of our priorities is developing and implementing strategies and initiatives that foster an outstanding work environment. Often our starting point is data from the UBC Workplace Experiences Survey and other workplace metrics. We seek to identify and understand workplace trends, what’s working well, and areas of opportunity. In addition to highlighting and celebrating strengths and achievements, we pursue areas of opportunity to make improvements and encourage a workplace where faculty and staff can be themselves and anticipate that they will be successful.
Currently Workplace Engagement offers the following for the UBC community:
- Assistance understanding and interpreting Workplace Experiences Survey unit-level results
- Workplace Experiences Survey results presentations for departments and teams
- Support facilitating conversations about departmental survey results, action planning, and priority setting
