Local newspapers such as the Vancouver Sun, The Province and the Vancouver Courier serve as a great resource for finding accommodation.

Temporary Accommodations

UBC Conferences and Accommodations have temporary accommodation available May 15 to Aug. 15 at Pacific Spirit Hostel on the UBC Vancouver campus. They have private rooms available, with rates starting from $33 per night. You can also visit sublet for Vancouver-area rental listings.

Real Estate

The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver provides information on housing prices by municipality and  dwelling type, as well as tips on selling and buying a home.

Search for Realtors at Realtor locator or the Canadian Real Estate Association’s Multiple Listing Service (MLS). The MLS website also contains comprehensive real estate listings for Vancouver and surrounding areas.

UBC Properties Trust offers faculty and staff the chance to purchase homes at market rate through their Market Housing Program.

Housing Assistance for Faculty & Senior Staff

The University offers a Housing Assistance Program (HAP) to help retain and recruit top-quality faculty.   Full-time UBC Vancouver tenured or tenure-track faculty may be eligible.  See the Treasury website for more details.
