Subject: UBC Relocation – Designated Relocation/Moving Vendor
The University of British Columbia provides relocation (moving) and travel assistance to eligible faculty and senior management staff in accordance with Policy HR6 – Relocation (formerly Policy #82). Since March 2010, the University has contracted with Quality Move Management (QMM) to provide moving services for our faculty and staff, and the contract term will be ending on March 31, 2016.
The University is currently undertaking a tendering (Request for Proposals, RFP) process to ensure competitive rates and quality services for our relocating faculty and staff. To ensure sufficient time to complete the tendering process in a fair and thorough manner, the contract with QMM has been extended to June 30, 2016, under the current terms and conditions.
Please also note that shuttle expenses (at originating and destination locations) incurred between April 1, 2015, and June 30, 2016, will be reimbursed separately from the Central Relocation Fund allowance for eligible relocating faculty and senior management staff.
In addition, if your faculty/department would like to be reimbursed by the Central Relocation Fund for fiscal year 2015/16, please submit your relocation reimbursement claim forms to Payment & Procurement Services at the Vancouver or Okanagan campus by Wednesday, March 23, 2016.
