Subject: Faculty and Staff Salary Changes – Implementation Effective July 1, 2018
We are pleased to advise that HR and Payroll are implementing a number of changes to faculty and staff salaries.
Faculty in the bargaining unit will receive a 2% salary increase, comprising:
- 1.5% General Wage Increase
- 0.5% Mutual Beneficial Gains Increase
In addition, faculty are eligible for Progress Through the Ranks (PTR) increases. For information on the faculty salary increase implementation, please visit http://www.hr.ubc.ca/faculty-relations/compensation/faculty-salary-increases/.
Research Associates will receive a 0.5% General Wage Increase. Information on salaries for Research Associates is available at http://www.hr.ubc.ca/faculty-relations/recruitment/titles-ranks-descriptions/research-associates/#7.
The following staff groups will receive a General Wage Increase of 0.5%:
- BCGEU Okanagan
- Executive Administrative
- Non-Union Technicians/Research Assistants
- Farm Workers
Members of CUPE 2278 will receive a General Wage Increase of 1.0%, and the 0.4% Economic Stability Dividend.
