We are pleased to advise that HR and Payroll are preparing to implement the General Wage Increase for hourly and monthly staff at the UBC Aquatic Centre who are members of CUPE 116.

1% GWI effective January 1, 2016

The GWI will be entered into HRMS on January 6, effective as of January 1, 2016. The increase will appear on the January 15, 2016 (monthly) and January 22, 2016 (hourly) paycheques.

GWIs for this group will take place as follows:

  • January 1, 2016 – 1%
  • January 1, 2017 – 0.5%
  • November 1, 2017 – 1%
  • January 1, 2018 – 0.5%
  • November 1, 2018 – 1%
  • January 1, 2019 – 0.5%
  • November 1, 2019 – 1.0%

A further Economic Stability Dividend GWI of 0.45% will be provided on November 1, 2016.
