We are pleased to advise that HR and Payroll are preparing to implement General Wage Increases (GWIs) negotiated between the parties during collective bargaining for staff who are members of AAPS and CUPE 116.

Staff who are members of AAPS

1% GWI effective July 1, 2015

The GWI will be entered into HRMS effective July 1, 2015, and the increase will appear on the July 15, 2015, paycheque.

Future GWIs for this group will take place as follows:

May 1, 2017                       1.0%
July 1, 2017                         0.5%

July 1, 2018                         0.5%
May 1, 2019                       1.0%

Staff who are members of CUPE 116

1.0% GWI effective April 1, 2015

This will require the payment of retroactive wages. Both the 1% GWI and the retroactive pay will appear on the July 15, 2015, paycheque.

Future GWIs for this group will take place as follows:

April 1, 2016                       0.5%

Funding of General Wage Increases

The Budget Office will notify you as soon as possible about funding arrangements for the above increases, once we have been advised by the Provincial Government.

Other Employee Groups

We anticipate that GWIs for staff who are members of CUPE 2950 will be implemented next. You will receive further notification once the parties have ratified the tentative agreement recently achieved. We will notify you further with regard to GWIs for all other union and non-union groups.
