PD Fund Notices

The TRA PD funding pool is exhausted as of October 22, 2019.

As of October 22, 2019,  the PD Fund for staff belonging to the non-union Technicians & Research Assistants employee group has been exhausted. No further claims will be accepted or processed for the this group this current funding year.  Please go to the TRA PD Funds website for further details.

New Year for Staff PD Funds: April 1, 2019- March 31, 2020

As of April 1, 2019, professional development funds for the following employee groups became available for the 2019-2020 fund year. Please review your applicable fund guidelines prior to claim submission.

  • M&P (AAPS): $550
  • Service Unit Directors / Excluded M&P (non-AAPS): $1,500
  • CUPE 2950: $1,400
  • Executive Administrative: $1,500
  • CUPE 116: $1,000
  • Non-Union Technicians & Research Assistants: $800 (please note this adjusted amount for the current fund year)
  • BCGEU Okanagan: $1,200 Regular; $600 Auxiliary

 

Tuition Waivers

The UBC Tuition Fee Waiver provides eligible UBC staff and faculty with tuition assistance for approved UBC undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as non-credit courses offered through UBC Extended Learning and approved Sauder School of Business Continuing Business Studies non-credit courses and certificate programs.
