In the Focus on People Annual Report 2012, we share video stories that highlight some of our strategic initiatives and how these efforts make a difference to faculty and staff on our campuses. Through the Focus on People framework, UBC is committed to pursuing strategic initiatives that foster a healthy, inspiring work environment marked by collegiality, respect and inclusivity.
The Focus on People Benchmark Report provides a comprehensive, annual overview of faculty and staff employment data, including retention and attraction metrics. This year’s report also includes a summary of the second UBC Workplace Experiences Survey results. As a whole, this information provides a snapshot of UBC as an employer, including strengths and areas that require attention or further thinking.
The Focus on People Annual Report shares stories that illustrate how Focus on People initiatives make UBC a great place to work, live and learn for faculty and staff. This year’s report includes stories about programs to support mental health, academic leadership in the Okanagan, respectful environment consultations, and more.
Focus on People is a five-year framework now in its fifth year. In the coming months, we will be creating the next, refreshed version of Focus on People. The feedback from the Workplace Experiences Survey will help to shape the next version of the framework, along with feedback from the UBC community.
