HR Memo: Compassionate Care Leave and Benefits – Federal Changes Effective Jan. 1, 2016 and What This Means for BC

We have a memo for all heads and managers with information on how recent federal changes in Compassionate Care leave and benefits may impact those individuals taking  Compassionate Care leave, which is a federal/provincial leave entitlement that provides job-protected unpaid leave for an employee to provide care or support to an immediate family member if a medical practitioner issues a certificate stating that their family member has a serious medical condition with a significant risk of death within 26 weeks.
