Drop-in, each week is an independent session, no registration required.

Please join your colleagues on Mondays to learn and practice Mindfulness Meditation.  Mindfulness Meditation is a form of mental exercise cultivating focused attention, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness that promotes mental and physical health.    Various forms of mindfulness practice will be explored. The time will be mostly spent in practice with some time for discussion.

Facilitator: Geoffrey Soloway, MEd, PhD

Geoffrey completed a PhD in the area of mindfulness and has been teaching mindfulness in formal and informal settings over the past 8 years. He completed a Yoga Teacher Training in 2003, and numerous meditation trainings and silent retreats since.

Faculty at the Vancouver campus are invited to a faculty-focused brainstorming session on Thrive Week, called Thriving Faculty.

This brainstorming session will focus on developing:

  • New opportunities for faculty participation in Thrive Week within the context of classrooms, departments and labs.
  • Principles, guidelines, activities and instructional strategies that would support and exemplify Thriving Faculty.
