Our Career Navigation consultant offers support to staff who wish to enhance their professional experience by exploring and using the many opportunities for growth within UBC. Interested staff can visit our Career Navigation services page to learn more.
We will be having a series of workshops in the fall focusing on Career Resiliency, and will announce these in HR Network News when the details are finalized.
The Coaching at UBC program offers free one-on-one professional coaching services for staff and faculty. Coaching is a great way to explore topics of interest to you, and to start to map out a plan for your own professional development.

Professional Development Funds
UBC is committed to providing staff and faculty with improved access to professional development opportunities, through access to professional development funds. Please select your employee group to learn more about the funds available to you.
Professional Development Workshops
Human Resources holds several professional development workshops throughout the year, available to staff and faculty. Please see our post in this week’s HR Network News to learn about the PD workshops coming up this fall.
Eligible staff and faculty can apply to use their PD funding for these workshops.
Lynda.com offers an online collection of self-guided instructional videos designed to provide staff and faculty with just-in-time resources to assist in a variety of areas, including updating software skills, learning new technology tools, and enhancing workplace business practices.
