If you directly manage staff and want support in your leadership role, register for Managing@UBC now. Managing@UBC has expanded eligibility criteria and can financially support UBC managers and directors within the first three years of their leadership role. For those managers and directors who have been in their role longer than three years and would like to participate, there is a department fee of $750. Send us your applications to be a part of the 2017/18 cohort.
Managing@UBC is a 12-month program that supports you in in your role, recognizing the significant responsibility you hold for employee performance, engagement and achievement of unit goals. This self-directed program is founded on a robust framework that allows you to identify which skills you want to strengthen and then develop a customized learning curriculum to achieve your stated goals. You will be able to access a wide range of resources – including UBC online learning modules, one-on-one coaching, and workshops – to support you on your learning journey. Whatever your focus may be, you will get support in handling your personal goals, role obligations, nit’s day-to-day operations, and the University environment.
If you meet all of the eligibility criteria, please complete a letter of intent and supervisor sponsorship form and join Managing@UBC. Applications for next year’s program will be accepted until June 1, 2017, for a summer start and the fall 2017 Program launch.
