UBC Thrive Week-Nov. 3-7
Thrive is a week-long series of events focused on building positive mental health for UBC students, faculty and staff. This year, UBC’s Vancouver campus will host over 40 events aimed at increasing understanding, building skills and developing coping strategies to feel good and build positive mental health year-round.
Grace Under Pressure: Managing Stress Through Strategy (UBC AAPS)-Nov. 3, 5
Develop a better understanding of your own reactions to stress and your ability to manage it. UBC AAPS will be hosting three sessions for members – one at St. Paul’s Hospital and two at Point Grey. A UBC THRIVE EVENT! Please note that these events are open to UBC AAPS members only.
Faculty and Staff at UBC are invited to answer questions on various topics such as career, resources and support, wellbeing, community, and leadership. The survey is confidential and anonymous and offered online (paper surveys available). Make sure that your voice is heard!

Mammography Screening Clinic-Nov. 20
The Screening Mammography Program (SMP) Mobile Services will be visiting UBC and providing FREE screening mammograms to women ages 40 to 79. Regular screening mammograms can find breast cancer early, usually before it has spread. Make it part of your regular health routine and book an appointment today! The Healthy Workplace Initiatives Program (HWIP) is a fund available to UBC departments and units to support healthy activities for faculty and staff in the workplace.
