Corporate Discounts for Fitness and Yoga Passes

Health Promotion Programs has negotiated a variety of discounts with service providers on and off the UBC Vancouver campus. Please click on the links below for more details:

Bikram Yoga Vancouver

Bikram Yoga Vancouver offers UBC staff and faculty to a free yoga class. Also known as ‘Hot Yoga’, Bikram Yoga uses heat and sequenced postures to stretch and strengthen the body and to work the organs, glands, and nervous system in a systematic way. Use the pass to attend a free class at one of their 3 Vancouver studio locations. Click here to access the promotion.

Body and Soul Health and Fitness

Body and Soul Health and Fitness offers an ongoing corporate rate for a variety of services, including personal training and yoga. For more details on the corporate rate offered to UBC staff and faculty, click here .

Dailey Method (Vancouver)

The Dailey Method (Vancouver) offers faculty and staff a 15% discount on all regularly priced passes (excluding the already discounted new client 3 class package, autopay and new client unlimited passes).

Moksha Yoga Vancouver

Moksha Yoga Vancouver offers a one month discounted introductory pass.  Regularly $40, UBC staff and faculty can enjoy their introductory month of unlimited classes for only $20.  Just print the UBC discount coupon and bring your employee ID card!

UBC REC

UBC REC offers drop-in and league sports, instructional and outdoor programs through the Student Recreation Centre. Discounted rates are available to faculty and staff with their UBC card.

UBC BodyWorks Fitness Centre

UBC BodyWorks Fitness Centre has memberships as low as $22/month, and an “Introduction to Personal Training” package of 3 sessions for $99.

UBC Aquatic Centre

The UBC Aquatic Centre includes an outdoor and indoor public pool facility as well as a gym, sauna and steamroom. UBC employees get $0.25 off general admission.

UBC BirdCoop Fitness Centre

The largest fitness facility on Point Grey campus, the BirdCoop Fitness Centre offers UBC staff and faculty a membership discount. Membership includes access to the fitness centre, climbing cave, get fit and cycle fit classes.

Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation

UBC staff and faculty are entitled to a 25% discount on Park Board flexipasses. The Park Board flexipass is good at all city-run swimming pools, ice rinks and 13 different fitness centres.

The Park Board Flexipass is good at Park Board Fitness Centres, but not Association-run Fitness Centres. There are 25 fitness facilities in located in Community Centres, but only 14 of these fitness centres are run by the Park Board. Find out more at http://vancouver.ca/parks/fees/passes.htm.

In order to sign up for the corporate rate, you will need to show current affiliation as a staff or faculty member of UBC, in the form of picture identification and a copy of your most recent paystub.

YMCA

UBC has a corporate pass at the Robert Lee YMCA which gives a 10% discount to Adult members (ages 36-64) and Plus members (includes additional services, such as towel service, private steamroom and whirlpool). Monthly rates for a UBC corporate rate are $47.70 for adults, $72.90 for Plus members. Bring your UBC ID, business card or pay stub to the Robert Lee YMCA to obtain this rate.

YWCA Health + Fitness Centre.

UBC employees receive a discounted rate at the YWCA Health + Fitness Centre located in downtown Vancouver. Pay only $56.50 per month instead of the regular rate of $61.

YYoga

UBC faculty and staff receive a discount on 3, 6, and 12 month passes at YYoga studios around the Lower Mainland.  In order to receive the discount, you will need to print (or bring on a mobile device) the UBC YYoga Redemption Form and bring a UBC business card, staff/faculty ID card or a copy of your paystub.
