An annual event created by HUB, B2WW is a great opportunity for you to commute to and from work with other cyclists, get fit and contribute to UBC’s sustainability goals by tracking your commuting kilometers in a friendly competition with other workplaces across Metro Vancouver.
UBC’s Bike to Work Week will be held from May 27th-June 2nd 2013 and Transportation Planning is encouraging all faculty, staff and student cyclists to get on bikes, sign-up and log commutes.

On Friday, May 3rd, UBC REC and UBC Human Resources will be hosting the third annual Staff and Faculty Sports Day.
This FREE event will run from 11:30am to 1:00pm where teams of 4-6 will compete in a variety of mental and physical challenges.
UBC Staff & Faculty from Point Grey, Robson Square, and VGH are all encouraged to participate. Whether you want to participate as an office, department, or an individual, there’s an activity designed for everyone.
Registration closes on Friday, April 26.

Prizes will be awarded to the winning team as well as the most spirited team. At the conclusion of the event, all participants will be entered into a draw to win one of a number of draw prizes including golf lessons. There will also be a selection of healthy foods and snacks available at this event, provided by UBC Food Services.

The UBC Tennis Centre is the only public tennis centre in Vancouver and it provides the facility, instruction and services required for people of all ages and all levels of playing ability to improve their skills and enjoy their tennis experience!
The Tennis Centre is proud to be involved and helping to host the Davis Cup tie against Italy on April 5-7 2013, played right here on campus at Doug Mitchell Arena. This is a wonderful opportunity to watch some of the finest players in the world right here in our backyard. Come on out and cheer team Canada on to victory and hopefully a semi-final berth for the first time in history!

MovingMinds is a free event designed by the School of Kinesiology to help better enable staff and faculty to choose and access health resources.
This event is focused specifically on incorporating incremental physical activity into the day, in order to help to maintain and sustain wellbeing and it welcomes University staff and faculty to walk or run as an alternative way to spend time away from work.
On May 16th, walk or run our half-kilometer loop and challenge yourself to as many laps as you can fit into your busy day! Encourage your colleagues and friends on campus to join us for music and movement meant to keep the hearts, minds and bodies pumping.
Time: 12:00pm-2:00pm
Location: Main Mall between University Blvd and Stores Road
Bring your colleagues out to join and help spread the Moving Minds movement on campus!
