Re: Bargaining Bulletin #13 – Collective Bargaining 2010/11 Update

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide you with an update on developments in collective bargaining at UBC. An overview of collective bargaining (including information on the bargaining units) is available online.

We are pleased to advise that the new two-year agreement with BCGEU, representing approximately 300 unionized staff at the Okanagan campus, has been ratified by both members of BCGEU and the Board of Governors, after receiving approval from PSEC and the University Public Sector Employers Association (UPSEA). The effective dates of the Agreement are July 1, 2010, through June 30, 2012.

We look forward to implementing the new Agreement with BCGEU and all members of the Okanagan campus community.
