The Career Navigation & Transition Consultant offers stimulus to your UBC career experience by supporting you to discover and design your unique opportunities for growth.
You can expect a three-part service over a six-month period to:
1. Examine your possibilities
2. Evolve a unique plan
3. Evaluate the implementation and revise your efforts
Coaching@UBC is a free, 1-on-1 professional coaching service for staff and faculty. Coaching provides an opportunity to focus and move forward on your career goals through the exploration of ideas and candid dialogue with a confidential and unbiased thinking partner.
Choose to work with either an internal or associate (external) coach, typically over six individual sessions/three months. Professional coaches who focus on career exploration and planning are available through Coaching@UBC.
UBC Continuing Studies provides a fee-based career and life counselling service that’s available to the public. Book an individual one-hour session with a career counsellor to gain clarity about the next stage in your career or personal life.
Evening, weekend and online video chat appointments are available. Counsellors can also be booked for resumé review and interview preparation.
As staff or faculty at UBC, you may be able to use tuition waivers to cover the session cost.
