Faculty Pension Plan 2011 Annual Report
The Faculty Pension Plan‘s 2011 Annual Report is online. This year’s report includes yearly membership and financial statistics, fund and investment managers’ rates of return, a market commentary, and the 2011 financial statements. Please also see the section on the Plan’s newest member event – the FPP Pension Forum. This event is a great opportunity for members to learn more about their pension plan and other UBC resources available for Faculty.

UBC HR has released its 2009 Focus on People Annual Report as of June 3. Look for the print teaser in the June 2010 issue of UBC Reports and view the articles in their entirety in the online version.
This year’s Report highlights six feature stories on the successes and challenges we face with our people practices at the university.
For those who work at UBC, we hope you’ll identify with the workplace experiences of others in our shared community and learn about those who work with you and beside you.

HR has released our 2009/10 Benchmark Report, which we compile each year, around the same time we produce the Focus on People Annual Report.
The Benchmark Report focuses on the metrics of human resources at UBC. The Annual Report focuses on the anecdotal stories on how we’re creating an outstanding workplace at UBC.
This is our second year producing both Reports and the first year in which we’ve made the Benchmark report public.
Our first year results were buoyed by the Workplace Experiences Survey results and numbers pulled from other data sources. This year’s report is a better indicator as we’re able to provide some analysis and insight into recruitment and retention patterns, trends, and areas of concern.
The document was circulated to UBC executives and the Board the week of May 24. It will be shared with campus HR administrators and senior executives in the weeks ahead.
The Report is an important indicator for anyone who works in human resources at UBC to understand the broader context of what’s happening with regards to turnover, attracting talent, and whether or not workplace initiatives are making an impact.
