Are you new to UBC, and cannot attend the in-person Orientation sessions? Imagine Day: Sept. 2

The first day Back to School is Imagine Day, a day-long event full of welcome activities, orientation, and a pep rally to get the school year started right. President’s Installation: Sept. 12

The installation of Professor Arvind Gupta as the 13th President and Vice-Chancellor of The University of British Columbia will be on Friday, Sept. 12 – full details at www.ubc.ca/installation.

Breakfast with the President:7:30 – 9:00 a.m., Venue TBD

UBC faculty, staff and students are also invited to put their names in a draw to attend an intimate breakfast with the President. To enter the draw visit www.ubc.ca/installation.

Installation Ceremony: 10:00 – 11:30 a.m., Chan Centre

The installation ceremony is a memorable and inspiring event featuring live music and greetings from around the world, welcoming Professor Gupta and celebrating the successes of UBC’s global community and its collective impact on the world.

Panel Discussion: Generation Empowered: 3:00 – 4:30 p.m., Old Auditorium

All are welcome to attend this engaging and interactive panel discussion with Professor Arvind Gupta.

Homecoming: Sept. 12-13

Homecoming Weekend is Sept. 12-13, 2014. Take part in the BBQ and Pep Rally on Aug. 12, then on Aug. 13 take in the Great Thunderbird Trek to Thunderbird Stadium and the football game of the UBC Thunderbirds vs. Calgary Dinos.
