UBC’s Payroll unit has finalized the 2009 T4 and T4A Statements of Remuneration Paid. Faculty and staff can download their Statements for their tax returns via the Faculty and Staff Self-Service portal.
How to download your T4 or T4A Statement:
- Log-in to the Faculty and Staff Self-Service portal, using your Campus-Wide ID Login (CWL).
- In the My Pay column of the screen, select Year End Slips to see the content agreement to receive your Statement electronically for the current and subsequent years.
- Note: Faculty and staff who choose not to accept the agreement will be mailed their T4/T4A Statements in late February, consistent with the requirements of the Canada Revenue Agency.

Hi There,
I was in the work study program last year, but I’m unable to log onto using CWL. I am having difficulties setting up the VPN. Will the the HR office mail one to me? Or are there specific processes that I need to complete before that happens?

Hi Dilys. UBC has a new VPN service as of De. 31/09 – try the set-up instructions at http://www.it.ubc.ca/security/VPN.html. If that doesn’t work, you can contact Finance directly, and they will be able to answer your questions about your T4. You should be able to find the person to contact at http://www.finance.ubc.ca/payroll/contacts.cfm, or you can call their office switchboard to be directed (the number is on that Finance contacts page).

We don’t have an exact release date yet for the 2010 T4s and T4As, but when we do we will publicize the information for the UBC Community. Expect the forms to be available soon.
