Vacation entitlements for employee groups at UBC are based on University policy and the employee group’s collective agreement.
|1st calendar year||Employees must complete one full year of employment to be eligible for vacation|
|2nd to 4th year||3 weeks|
|5th to 7th year||4 weeks|
|8th to 17th year||5 weeks (in addition to this entitlement, after 14 years of service, 1 day is added for each additional year of service, up to 17 years of service)|
|18th year and beyond||6 weeks|
The maximum vacation carry-over allowed for IUOE 882 staff is two weeks.
