Comparison of Plans for Active and Retired Employees

The UBC Retirement and Survivor Extended Health and Dental benefits are different from your current UBC Extended Health and Dental active benefits.  Also, as some of the active benefits at UBC differ amongst the various employment groups, it makes it difficult to do a true comparison of every benefit for every group, so what we have done is a chart of some of the high level differences.

If you are unsure of your current active benefits, then please consult your Sun Life Extended Health and Dental booklet for your particular employment group.  These booklets can be obtained from the UBC Human Resources website: http://www.hr.ubc.ca/benefits/employee-groups/

This chart is for information purposes only. In the event of a discrepancy, the official document shall prevail.

Maximums stated are per person unless otherwise noted.

See your Sun Life booklet for complete details of your coverage.
