SEB Benefits Eligibility: Administrative Executives, CUPE 2278, CUPE 2950, Executive Administrative and M&P

UBC employee groups Administrative Executive, CUPE 2278, CUPE 2950, Executive Administrative, and M&P are eligible for the Supplementary Employment Benefits (SEB) during maternity leave or adoption leave.  There is no SEB benefits for parental leave.

Birth mothers taking maternity leave and adopting parents taking adoption leave must satisfy the following criteria in order to be eligible:

• currently actively employed by UBC
• your Employment Insurance (EI) benefits claim has been approved by Human Resources Development Canada
• you will be returning to work for at least six months at the end of your leave.
