SEB Benefits Eligibility: Farm Workers and Non-Union Technicians

Farm Workers and Non-Union Technicians and Research Assistants are eligible for the Supplemental Employment Benefits (SEB) during your maternity leave only.  There is no SEB for parental or adoption leaves.

Birth mothers taking maternity leave must satisfy the following criteria in order to be eligible:

• currently actively employed by UBC
• your Employment Insurance (EI) benefits claim has been approved by Human Resources Development Canada
• you will be returning to work for at least six months at the end of your leave.
