<p>To help support your life and make sure you have the information you  need, we have put in place a number of resources for you to use. Whether  it is online and print resources, or a direct connection to a HR  professional, we are working to make your program information easier to  understand and access.</p>

<p>Upon your start at UBC, you will need to enroll in your associated  benefits programs.  Benefits plans differ slightly depending on which  employee group you belong to. If you’re not sure which employee group  you belong to, please click here.</p>

<p>Faculty, staff, and student employees can update and view their  personal and payroll information in a highly secure and real-time  environment using our self-service web portal, which you can access here  or by clicking the navigation button to the right.</p>

<p>Sometimes you may need to change your benefits plans including adding or removing dependents, changing your life insurance beneficiary designation, or altering your level of financial protection within your plan. <p>From regular check-ups to major procedures like root canals and crowns, the UBC Dental Care plans provide reimbursement based on the Dental Association Fee Guide for general practitioners for  a wide range of dental services in the province in which these services were received.  These procedures may be provided by a licensed Dentist, Denturist, Dental Hygienist and Anesthetist.<br />

<p>Eligible UBC faculty and staff have two life insurance plans that provide financial protection to designated beneficiaries:  mandatory Basic Group Life Insurance and the Optional Life Insurance for additional coverage including access to coverage for spouses. In addition, UBC offers an Optional Accidental Death &amp; Dismemberment plan in combination with the Optional Life Insurance program.<br />
