April is National Oral Health Month

dental predeterminationJust as diet and exercise are important in keeping us healthy, so is maintaining a healthy mouth. Poor oral health can influence the way a person speaks, eats and socializes, and may be a sign of other health issues. To highlight the importance of good oral health to a person’s overall well-being, April has been designated as National Oral Health Month. For Oral Health Activities for children and adults, visit the Canadian Dental Association website.

UBC provides a Dental Care plan in which eligible employees may enroll to provide some financial assistance in maintaining oral health.

To confirm your enrollment, visit the UBC Faculty and Staff Self-Service website and click on Benefits Summary.
