Save the Date for Thrive 2017
Thrive is an annual, University-wide initiative designed to promote building positive mental health for all students, faculty and staff. For the past eight years and six years respectively, UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan have hosted Thrive week.
This year, from October 31 to November 3, the UBC community including campus partners and volunteers will come together to celebrate Thrive through a series of engaging and diverse events, activities and experiences with the help of campus partners and volunteers.
How You Can Get Your Workplace Involved:
1. Participate in the Not Myself Today Campaign (Vancouver campus)
Not Myself Today is a national workplace mental health campaign focused on three outcomes:
- Building an awareness and understanding of mental health
- Reducing stigma
- Fostering safe and supportive work cultures
This partnership is designed to provide departments with ready-made and easy-to-use toolkits for participating in Thrive week. Join your UBC colleagues in celebrating diversity, community and respect in the workplace.
2. Help promote Thrive week or host an event (Vancouver campus)
If your department, faculty or unit would like to assist in the promotion of Thrive and/or host a special Thrive event, please click here to register as a 2017 Thrive partner or learn more about the ways to partner with Thrive.
